Help Us Pass the
Kids Online Safety Act!

KOSA would be the first major new law to protect kids online in over 25 years. And it has advanced further than any similar legislation in that time.

In 2024, KOSA passed the US Senate by the whopping margin of 91-3! But, thanks in part to lobbying by Big Tech, the bill failed to even get a vote in the House.

Now, KOSA is back. And we need your help to get it over the finish line.

HELP US PASS KOSA!

What the Bill Does

The Kids Online Safety Act will give parents the tools they need to keep their kids safe online.

This legislation will:

  • Impose a “duty of care” requiring online platforms to act in children’s best interests.
  • Compel Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and others to mitigate risks.
  • Require strongest privacy and safety settings by default.

Why We Need It

We need KOSA, because right now, kids are dying as a result of online harms that could easily be prevented. Young people are being lost to suicide, drug use, viral challenges, and other dangers fueled by Big Tech’s algorithms and deadly business model. KOSA will help change that.

This bill is overwhelmingly popular. It was reintroduced in the Senate this year by Republican Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Democrat Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut. And in a 2024 poll, over 85% of voters said they support the legislation. Now we just need Congress to hear their voices.
Speak up today, and tell your elected leaders you want them to support the Kids Online Safety Act.
