Washington, DC – Feb. 27, 2024Leading child safety advocacy groups are hosting an online listening session with the Federal Trade Commission as the rulemaking deadline for the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) approaches. Affected young people and parents, and experts including AAP President Benjamin Hoffman, MD, FAAP and Dr. Omni Cassidy, Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine will share their stories and insights into the harms to children of the social media business model.
