FTC Listening Session on Online Harms

On February 28, 2024, Fairplay, Common Sense, the Center for Digital Democracy and Design it For Us hosted an online listening session with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on online harms to young people. Affected teens, parents, and experts including AAP President Benjamin Hoffman, MD, FAAP and Dr. Omni Cassidy, Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine shared their stories and insights into the harms to children caused by the social media business model.
