Roblox is wildly popular with kids around the world. But it’s not just a game — it’s a business! Roblox rakes in billions in profit every year at the expense of children’s safety and well-being. It must be held accountable, and kids must be protected.

Fairplay and the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) are calling on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Roblox.
Our Request for Investigation shows that kids have been groomed and abused by adults they met on the platform, parents have faced thousands of dollars in Roblox charges, and users have shared sexual references and racial slurs with child accounts.
Over 30 million kids under age 13 reportedly use Roblox every day. All that user engagement pays off for the platform: Roblox recorded $3.6 billion in revenue in 2024.
Despite its popularity, Roblox is not safe for kids. The platform is designed to get children to spend lots of money. It exposes kids to dangerous adults. And it might not protect kids’ information.
